Operations Maintenance Coordinator - PAP
Pay Range: $93,400–$124,500. Salary is salaried full‑time.
Location:
601 County Road 78, Selma, AL. The Paper OMC is the champion of the manufacturing work systems (MWS) processes for the Paper department at the Riverdale Mill, a fully integrated paper mill producing linerboard and uncoated freesheet grades.
- Lead daily, weekly, and annual outage MWS planning meetings.
- Coordinate daily and outage maintenance activities for the Paper machine, communicating with FLLs and operating crews to prepare safely and efficiently for planned maintenance tasks.
- Deliver results through GMS‑based processes and systems, using the mill and company MWS process as a foundation for success.
- Interface frequently with the Maintenance Department to build a strong partnership.
- Manage in a goal‑oriented environment to deliver target results in safety, employee engagement, reliability, cost, quality, and productivity.
- Implement reliability excellence initiatives such as work systems, precision maintenance, basic care, and RCFA.
- Build, communicate, and execute consistent operating practices across all shifts.
- Interface with other departments to ensure quality parameters are achieved and maintained.
- Manage area costs and budget achievement, and support the annual budgeting cycle.
- Seek out and implement best practices using teams, databases, vendors, and other technical resources.
- Understand, promote, and deliver results on reliability systems to achieve year‑over‑year improvement goals for reliability.
- Champion 5S principles, personally acting in alignment with 5S and participating in audits within the department and mill‑wide.
- Fulfill weekend duty role as needed.
- B.S. degree in engineering or related field, or comparable work experience.
- 3–5 years’ experience in manufacturing, preferably in paper industry operations.
- Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
- Completion of the IP Front Line Leader modules or another leadership development program preferred.
