Delivery Specialist

Overview

Delivery Specialist role at O'Reilly Auto Parts.

Compensation: $16.50 - $24.50 per hour. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the required minimum wage in the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums, may be paid per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Maintain and secure vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, handheld devices, and monies collected at all times.
• Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and fill out driver return slips.
• Communicate any problems or special needs from customers to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to the store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and secure the vehicle at end of day operations.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Assist with other duties as assigned, including customer service, stocking, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, checking in and stocking orders.
• May occasionally assist customers as a cashier or help with merchandising tasks when business dictates (phones, sales and service).
• All other duties as assigned.

• Required:
  
  Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver's license and meet company driving eligibility requirements.

• Desired:
  Familiar with automotive parts.
• Ability to operate other light store equipment.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
