Accounting Analyst

n As an Accounting Analyst, you will be responsible for translating client financial information into clear, accurate, and well-documented financial assessments while supporting the R&D Tax Incentive process. Review and analyze financial statements, general ledgers, profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and supporting documents to identify eligible R&D expenditures. Prepare and maintain R&D Expense Identification Workbooks, including calculations, allocation methodologies, supporting notes, and financial reconciliations.

Assess and interpret financial information gathered from clients and internal stakeholders to support eligibility assessments and accurate reporting. Utilize accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, and other cloud-based platforms to extract, review, and analyze financial data. Maintain accurate records and workflow updates across business tools including Hub Spot, , Excel workbooks, and internal tracking systems. Collaborate closely with consultants and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, ensure data accuracy, and deliver high-quality assessment outcomes.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, Commerce, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in Accounting, Accounting Analyst, Internal Audit, External Audit, or other relevant financial analysis roles.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, general ledger management, and expense classification.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reconciliation, financial analysis, formulas, large datasets, and workbook management.
• Experience using Xero, MYOB, or other accounting software, as well as business tools such as Hub Spot, , and CRM/workflow platforms.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify discrepancies, investigate financial data, and provide practical recommendations.
• Experience with R&D Tax Incentive programs is a plus but not required.
