Sr. Quality Manager

Overview

Leads the Quality Department, inclusive of Quality Assurance and Quality Control, and is responsible for the development, deployment and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).

• Lead the Quality Department, inclusive of Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
• Ensure the conformity of products and/or services delivered from the site with technical specifications and customer requirements.
• Accountable for maintenance and continuous improvement of the QMS.
• Monitor key performance indicators to report on the effectiveness of the QMS.
• Maintain applicable industry and regulatory certifications, e.g. AS9100, NADCAP.
• Manage and conduct an effective internal QMS audit program.
• Coordinate customer quality audits and timely responses.
• Manage third party compliance audits of our quality management system.
• Determine root cause of quality issues and drive effective corrective action.
• Participate in the design review and production readiness review processes.
• Accountable for Receiving, In-process and Final product quality inspections.
• Maintain all quality inspection equipment, inclusive of all calibration requirements.

• Aerospace and product quality specific product knowledge
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentations)
• Structured problem-solving skills in root cause analysis and defect reduction
• Strategic planning, resource allocation and employee development

• Bachelor’s degree or 10 years’ equivalent experience in manufacturing
• Quality Assurance experience in the aerospace industry including AS9100 and FAA PMA / Repair Station experience
• Minimum 5 years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment

• Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
• Certified Manager of Quality
• Experience in leadership of quality / technical organization
• Experience working in an electro-mechanical design & manufacturing environment
