Quality Assurance Technician – B Shift (3:45pm-4am)
Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance (QA) Technician is responsible for monitoring production processes to ensure finished goods meet Calbee America’s quality standards and customer specifications. This role verifies adherence to food safety, sanitation, and regulatory guidelines while supporting the maintenance of quality control documentation and processes. The QA Technician plays an essential role in ensuring safe, high-quality snacks that our customers can trust.
- Monitor production lines to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications.
- Verify cleanliness and sanitation of equipment post-cleaning.
- Perform and document monitoring activities for Critical Control Points (CCPs), such as metal detection.
- Identify and report non-conforming products or processes and assist with corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate, timely quality records and documentation.
- Communicate with Production, Maintenance, and Sanitation teams to resolve quality issues.
- Assist in training production employees on quality and food safety expectations.
- Participate in GMP, SOP, HACCP, and SQF training sessions and apply best practices on the floor.
- Maintain a clean work area and follow all safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in Food Science or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in food manufacturing or quality assurance required.
- Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and basic quality testing procedures.
- Strong attention to detail with ability to maintain accurate records.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
