Weekend Mill Operator

Position Overview:

The Mill Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring feed milling equipment to produce high-quality animal feed products. This role ensures smooth and efficient production while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities Operate feed milling machinery including grinders, mixers, pellet mills, and conveyors.

Understand mixing orders and feed delivery schedules.

Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments to maintain product quality and production efficiency.

Inspect raw materials and finished products for quality and consistency.

Load and unload trucks for appropriate orders.

Perform routine equipment maintenance and cleaning to prevent breakdowns.

Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Record production data such as batch sizes, machine settings, and quality control results.

Communicate with supervisors and maintenance staff regarding equipment issues or production concerns.

Assist in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and coordinating repairs.

Adhere to company policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Assist in the mill and warehouse as needed.

Support with sanitation, housekeeping, and general upkeep of the facility.

Perform other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.

Previous experience operating feed mill or manufacturing equipment is a plus.

Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines.

Strong attention to detail and quality focus.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical ability to perform tasks involving standing, lifting, and manual labor.
