Introduction

We are seeking a Civil Design Engineer III with a strong background in structural and mechanical design to support long-term projects in the nuclear sector. This 3-year contract role is ideal for a seasoned engineer who thrives in solving complex engineering challenges with limited supervision. The successful candidate will bring at least 10 years of discipline experience and demonstrate expertise in pipe support design, structural analysis, and nuclear infrastructure systems.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
    .

  • 10 years of discipline-specific engineering experience
    .

  • Strong knowledge of AISC design codes
    .

  • Experience in pipe support design
    .

  • Ability to apply fundamental engineering concepts to increasingly complex problems with minimal supervision.

Preferred

Skills & Qualifications
  • Proficiency with GT-STRUDL for frame structure analysis and design.

  • 5–10 years of structural design experience
    , preferably in nuclear or heavy industrial environments.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
    , with a structural focus highly desired.

  • Prior experience working in nuclear facilities or on regulated utility projects.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced civil or mechanical design tasks focused on pipe support and structural engineering.

  • Analyze and design frame structures using GT-STRUDL and other engineering software tools.

  • Apply AISC and other relevant codes to ensure structural compliance and safety.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contributing engineering expertise to complex projects.

  • Provide technical support across the full lifecycle of nuclear infrastructure projects.

  • Work independently to solve complex engineering problems and produce high-quality deliverables.
