Jamestown Family Health Clinic (JFHC) is hiring a Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) to join their team. The ideal candidate is someone with excellent organizational and administrative skills who can work comfortably in a fast‑paced environment. The PCC will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and collecting co‑payments.
Responsibilities- Patient Interaction: You’ll be the first point of contact for patients, greeting them in person and over the phone, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a smooth experience.
- Scheduling & Insurance: You’ll handle scheduling appointments for multiple providers, ensuring accuracy and following proper protocols, including collecting and verifying insurance information.
- Administrative Tasks: You’ll assist patients with tasks such as filling out paperwork, scheduling transportation, and collecting co‑payments.
- Communication & Confidentiality: Excellent communication, both verbal and written, is essential to interact effectively with patients, staff, and doctors. Maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations is mandatory.
- Education & Experience: A high school diploma is mandatory, with an Associate’s degree being a plus. Two years of customer service experience are required, with a preference for experience in a clinical setting.
- Skills: Strong organizational and time‑management skills to handle multiple tasks, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, fast typing (over 40 wpm), basic money handling, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
