Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy.
- WA state PTA license.
Role Overview:
A school Physical Therapist Assistant assists licensed physical therapists in providing care and treatment to students. Their main job is to execute therapy programs designed by the Physical Therapists, which aim to improve students’ physical capabilities, like motor skills, strength, balance, and coordination. This includes instructing and assisting students in doing specific exercises or using certain equipment.
Job Details:
- Schedule:
Flexible on days and times. - Dates: 1/5/26 - 6/12/26.
- Hours:
.5 - .6 position, around 20 hours per week. - Setting:
PreK - 8th grade. - Caseload: 40, will have PT supervision/help.
- In-person only.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the implementation of individual treatment plans and documenting student progress.
- Helping students improve their mobility and build strength.
- Overseeing activities to encourage recreation and therapeutic benefits.
- Assisting with providing physical therapy and student exercise programs.
- Helping students use adaptive equipment.
- Preparing therapy equipment for appointments.
- Collaborating with physical therapists to provide rehabilitative care to students.
- Assisting licensed physical therapists in providing care and treatment to students.
