Department Supervisors train, coach, and develop associates in each department to ensure customers receive excellent service and can easily find the merchandise they need. They provide valuable input into merchandising decisions to the Store Management and Operations Teams. Department Supervisors possess strong product knowledge and leadership skills. Store departments may include Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Gardening, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, Pro Account Sales, Tool Rental, Front End, Freight, Receiving, Associate Support, Special Services, and Merchandising Execution.

Salaried associates are eligible for 2 weeks of vacation in their first year; full-time hourly employees are eligible for 40 hours of paid vacation after 6 months; part-time employees for 20 hours after 6 months. Sick leave policies vary by location and employment type.
