Position Summary

Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician
• Walmart is expanding across local retail stores and is actively recruiting a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. If you have relevant experience, bring your skills to our fast‑paced, welcoming work environment.

As a Technician at our local store you will support and oversee repairs on Walmart’s refrigeration and HVAC equipment, using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills along with hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.

• 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration/HVAC maintenance
• Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and at least 2 years of mechanical maintenance or construction‑related experience for commercial HVAC/R and building controls (or 4 years of experience)
• Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located (preferred)

• Maintain and repair Walmart’s refrigeration and HVAC equipment using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and appropriate tools.
• Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support store associates, and document repair activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart’s safety policies.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, use ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

Individual compensation packages are based on factors such as skill set, experience, and job level. Eligible for a bonus incentive. The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 to $45.00, with potential premiums up to $3.00 per hour under certain circumstances.
