** Sequim, WA.
** Previous waste industry experience is a big plus—but not required. We’re happy to train the right person!

The schedule is Monday–Friday and occasional Saturdays as needed, around 45 hours per week.

The starting pay **$28/hr
** with annual pay increases and bonus opportunities.

* Duties and Responsibilities:

*** Safely operate a garbage truck on designated routes to collect solid waste. Waste experience is preferred but not required.
* Read route sheets and service each customer listed or assigned by the dispatcher.
* Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
* Perform a physically demanding job, including loading and unloading, sometimes without assistance.
* Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift and load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
* Interact courteously with customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
* Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
* Requires extensive physical activity, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 pounds.
* Work environment involves exposure to physical risks, such as moving mechanical parts, requiring basic safety precautions.
* Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including frequent wet and/or humid environments, as well as fumes and vibrations.
** Minimum

Job Requirements:

*** Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement
* Clean driving record (please bring a copy of your MVR to the in-person interview)
* Ability to operate 10-, 13-, and 18-speed transmissions (preferred, not required)
* Minimum 1 year of relevant driving experience
* Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred
