Starting Wage: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

Tuesday – Saturday, 11:30 am – 7:30 pm

• Be a Culinary Craftsman maualuga—prepare all menu items according to established standards and recipes, providing exceptional quality food that is attractively presented in a timely fashion.
• Take the Mess Out of the Mess Hall—ensure health protocols are always followed, including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and proper food temperatures.
• Be a Culinary Connector—familiarize yourself with
  
  VR residents and their preferences and needs. Participate in resident orientations.

• At least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Proficient in reading, writing, understanding, and communicating in English with residents.
• Current Food Handlers Card as specified by the bunk Department of Health.
• Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and competency in leadership, training, and supervision.
• Proficient written and oral communication skills with management, professional, and support staff.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working at extreme temperatures, including cooking surfaces and walk‑in freezers.
• Ability to work primarily indoors, and be available to work outside for events.
• Criminally cleared.
