We're working with an independent accountancy practice in Sevenoaks that's looking for an experienced Senior Accounts Manager to become an integral part of its team.
This is a particularly interesting opportunity for someone who enjoys the variety and personal approach of a smaller practice.
Our client isn't looking for someone who simply delegates work and oversees a portfolio from a distance. They want an experienced accountant who's happy to roll their sleeves up, get involved in the detail and help keep everything running smoothly.
The RoleYour responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
- Overseeing corporation tax and personal tax compliance
- Providing practical tax advice to clients
- Preparing and reviewing more complex accounting and tax assignments
- Using accounting and tax software to manage work efficiently
- Monitoring staff workloads, workflow and deadlines
- Reviewing work and maintaining high technical standards
- Supporting and developing junior and senior team members
- Managing client relationships and dealing with technical queries
- Working closely with the Partners on the day-to-day running of the practice
You'll need to be ACA, FCA, ACCA or FCCA qualified
, with substantial experience gained within a UK accountancy practice
.
Experience working in a smaller or independent firm is particularly important
, as you'll need to be comfortable handling a broad range of responsibilities rather than specialising in just one area.
We're looking for someone who's technically strong, approachable and organised, but above all, someone who isn't afraid to get stuck in when needed.
