Junior Quantity Surveyor

Our foundation client are a well-funded house builder in Kent and have mandated us to further expand their growing commercial team. Following a number of recent site starts and several new projects due to launch ahead of 2027, we are looking to add an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the team of five. The ideal candidate will have procurement experience from either an SME or PLC house builder, a proactive attitude and ambitions to grow with the business.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare and manage cost estimates and budgets for residential developments.

* Procure and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations.

* Prepare tender documents, subcontract orders, and payment certificates.

* Monitor project costs and report on budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.

* Value subcontractor works and agree final accounts.

* Assist with land appraisals and development viability assessments.

* Identify and manage commercial risks throughout the construction process.

* Work closely with site managers, technical teams, and directors to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
