Join a Leading International Manufacturing BusinessWe're looking for a proactive and organised Customer Services Assistant to join a busy Customer Service & Internal Sales team on a temporary basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous B2B customer service or administration experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and delivering outstanding customer support. Working closely with Customer Service Representatives, you'll help ensure customer enquiries, quotations and delivery updates are managed efficiently while providing excellent service throughout the customer journey.
The RoleAs a Customer Services Assistant, you'll support the day-to-day running of the customer service function by assisting with customer enquiries, coordinating information between departments and helping to ensure orders progress smoothly.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to customer enquiries in line with established procedures.
- Prepare quotations for standard products using internal pricing systems.
- Assist with collecting customer information to support contract reviews.
- Liaise with planning teams to monitor production schedules and delivery dates.
- Keep customers updated on delivery schedules and any changes.
- Record customer feedback and maintain accurate records.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and direct enquiries to the appropriate department.
- Provide administrative support to the Customer Service team.
- Assist with additional duties as required to support the wider business.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with customers, has excellent organisational skills and can manage multiple tasks in a busy office environment.
Essential Skills & Experience- Previous B2B customer service, sales support or administration experience, ideally within manufacturing or engineering.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and able to learn new systems quickly.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Positive, proactive and customer-focused approach.
- Experience using ERP or CRM systems.
- Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO
9001 or AS9100. - Awareness of export-controlled environments or regulated industries.
