We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled Teacher of Design & Technology to join our thriving and forward-thinking department at our independent school in Sevenoaks.

The successful candidate will be passionate about Design & Technology and committed to delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire creativity, problem-solving and practical excellence. You will teach across a range of year groups, with the opportunity to contribute to GCSE and/or A Level courses, depending on experience.

The Role

Teach Design & Technology across the school, including specialist areas such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, or Engineering (depending on expertise)
Plan and deliver innovative, practical, and academically rigorous lessons
Contribute to curriculum development within a well-resourced DT department
Support and encourage pupils of all abilities to achieve their full potential
Take an active role in the wider life of the school, including co-curricular activities

The Ideal Candidate

A well-qualified teacher with a strong subject knowledge in Design & Technology
Experience teaching DT at secondary level (independent or maintained sector)
A commitment to excellent classroom practice and pupil wellbeing
Strong organisational and communication skills
Willingness to contribute to the ethos and co-curricular programme of an independent school
