The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team to provide tailored support to students with a range of additional learning needs. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting students with SEN in the classroom to help them access learning and achieve their individual goals. Assisting with the delivery of personalised learning plans and behaviour support strategies. Working one-to-one and in small groups to build students' confidence, independence and engagement. Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to monitor progress and adapt support where needed. Promoting a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

Providing personal care or mobility support where required. Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with school staff and parents. What We're Looking For Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable but not essential. A caring, patient and resilient approach. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications in education, childcare or SEN are advantageous but not required. A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them succeed.
