Location: Sevenoaks

Vision for Education is recruiting caring and enthusiastic SEN Assistants to work in a specialist school in Sevenoaks supporting children and young people aged 4-19 with physical disabilities, complex medical needs and associated learning difficulties.

This is much more than a classroom role. You'll support students with their personal care, mobility, learning and independence throughout the school day and within the school's residential provision.

• Supporting pupils in lessons and around school
• Personal care and intimate care
• Moving & Handling using specialist equipment
• Supporting communication and independence
• Working alongside teachers, therapists and care staff
• Helping create a safe, positive learning environment

• 7:00am - 2:30pm / 3:30pm
• 8:30am - 3:30pm
• 12:30pm - 9:30pm
• 3:30pm - 10:00pm
• School finishes at 2:00pm on Fridays

• SEN or school experience
• Care experience
• Practical Moving & Handling training completed
• Makaton (desirable)
• Autism experience
• GCSE English & Maths
• A caring, patient attitude
