My client is recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Building Services.

Role Overview

They are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing and implementing mechanical systems for various building projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the mechanical design process for MEP systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Conduct detailed calculations and simulations to optimize system performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to develop integrated design solutions.
- Prepare and review design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Oversee project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and support staff in their professional development.
- Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and regulations to ensure compliance and innovation.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (apprentice equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering within MEP building services.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, or similar).
- Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
