Senior Structural Engineer

Location: Sevenoaks Type: Full-Time Permanent

A well-established medium-sized engineering consultancy based in Sevenoaks is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer seeking greater project responsibility, client exposure, and long-term career progression within a supportive and collaborative environment. The consultancy works across a broad range of sectors including residential, commercial, education, retail, and industrial developments.

You will play a key role in the delivery of structural engineering projects from concept through to completion, working closely with senior leadership, clients, architects, and contractors.

Responsibilities will include:

• Leading the design and delivery of structural projects across multiple sectors
• Producing structural calculations, reports, specifications, and drawings
• Managing project programmes, budgets, and technical delivery
• Coordinating with internal and external design teams
• Mentoring and supporting junior engineers and technicians
• Undertaking site visits, inspections, and client meetings
• Ensuring compliance with UK building regulations and current design standards
• Contributing to business development and maintaining strong client relationships

• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Chartered Engineer status preferred or working towards Chartership (ICE or IStruct
  
  E)
• Strong experience designing in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
• Good working knowledge of Eurocodes and UK construction standards
• Experience delivering projects within a consultancy environment
• Proficiency in structural design software such as Tekla, Tedds, Master Series, or similar
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
