An established and growing structural engineering consultancy near Maidstone, Kent is looking for a talented Near Chartered Structural Engineer to join its expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer who is either already chartered or within touching distance of achieving CEng status, and who wants to take the next step in their career without disappearing into a huge corporate structure.

• Designing and delivering structural engineering solutions across a varied project portfolio.
• Working on projects from initial concept and feasibility through to detailed design and construction.
• Producing calculations, specifications, reports and technical documentation.
• Coordinating with architects, contractors, clients and fellow engineers.
• Reviewing designs and providing technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
• Taking increasing responsibility for projects, clients and technical delivery.
• Helping shape the continued growth and development of the structural engineering team.

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Several years' relevant structural engineering consultancy experience.
• Strong experience in building structures.
• Excellent knowledge of structural design principles and relevant British Standards / Eurocodes.
• Experience with common structural materials including steel, concrete, masonry and timber.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• Chartered Engineer status, or be very close to achieving chartership.
• The ambition to progress, lead and take ownership.
