OverviewWe’re working with a leading consultancy in the built environment sector that’s seeking a Finance Assistant to join their friendly and professional team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in finance administration or accounts support who’s looking to develop their skills within a structured and supportive environment. You’ll assist with daily finance operations, including invoicing, reconciliations, and reporting, while supporting the wider finance team in ensuring smooth day-to-day processes.
Role RequirementsA proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong organisational skills, good Excel knowledge, and a genuine interest in progressing within finance.
Main Responsibilities- Credit Control
- Processing mileage & expenses
- Month end journals & reconciliations
- Petty cash maintenance
- Credit card analysis and posting
- VAT return
- Electronic filing
- Eligible to live and work in the UK
- Able to work from the office full time (role is on-site, in Sevenoaks, 5 days a week)
- Strong attention to detail
- Use own initiative
- Organised & efficient
- Proficient with MS Word, Outlook and Excel (including formulas)
- Able to work well under pressure
- 3+ years all round finance experience
- Experience of working within the construction industry
