This is a very well-established, profitable, specialist logistics business. The company works in a number of niche markets suppling warehousing and transport contracts, as well bespoke end-to-end supply chain packages for clients. It is very well established with an excellent reputation for customer service This is a hands-on leadership role with full oversight of warehouse and transport operations, customer relationships, and commercial performance.

The role combines operational delivery with commercial ownership, requiring someone who is equally comfortable on the warehouse floor and in front of customers.

Key Responsibilities Lead and manage warehouse and transport operations, ensuring high levels of service, efficiency and control Take ownership of day-to-day business performance, acting as the operational lead within the company Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring service excellence and retention Support and drive sales and commercial activity, including pricing, proposals and account growth Manage a multi-customer logistics environment, balancing service delivery across varied client requirements Identify and implement improvements across process, people and systems Ensure high standards of accuracy, quality and operational discipline Candidate Profile Strong background within logistics, transport or warehousing, ideally within a multi-user / multi-customer environment Experience in specialist logistics, white glove, or service-led operations highly desirable Proven ability to operate in an niche business, with a hands-on approach Commercially aware, with experience of customer management and business development High attention to detail with a focus on service quality and operational execution Credible leader, able to engage with both operational teams and customers Key Attributes Hands-on, practical and delivery-focused Strong organisational and problem-solving capability Customer-first mindset with a focus on service excellence Comfortable operating across operations, sales and commercial Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-moving SME environment s The Opportunity This is an opportunity to step into a broad, business-critical role within a growing, service-led logistics business, working closely with the owner and playing a central role in shaping operational and commercial performance.
