SEN Class Teacher
Location: Pilning, Bristol
Salary: £32,916 - £49,232 (M1 – UPS2)
Hours: 40 hours per week

Teaching Personnel have an exciting opportunity to work with a SEN school in Bristol. The school cater to students aged 7-19 with a primary or secondary diagnosis of Autism and related social and communication needs.

The school are particularly looking for a general class teacher with experience teaching entry level/GCSE in Computing
, who can inspire and engage learners while helping them achieve their full potential.

Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher status
  • Experience in achieving outstanding outcomes
  • Thorough working knowledge of the curriculum and how to adapt this for pupils with SEN
  • Experience of working with young people with ASD
  • Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures
  • Ability to create and maintain strong nurturing relationships with young people
  • Experience of managing a range of approaches to learning, to include the students with anxiety
  • Knowledge of strategies and visual teaching methods to engage reluctant learners
  • A flexible approach, a high level creativity and the ability to adapt teaching to meet individual needs
  • Experience of managing a small team of teaching assistants

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
