Overview
Vesta, Inc. is a not for profit, financially sound, mental health company which is expanding throughout the Maryland area. Vesta, Inc. provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare to include clinic, day program, and residential homes for those suffering from mental health disorders.
Position TitleSomatic Care Clinic Coordinator, Severn Region.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and schedule client psychiatric and medical appointments and provide needed support to Primary Care Doctor.
- Seek and link clients with external resources as needed.
- Provide support and maintain documentation in electronic prescription system.
- Liaison with pharmacy for client prescription refills and correction of errors.
- Coordinate and schedule laboratory appointments ordered by physicians.
- Coordinate and schedule injections for clients per doctor orders.
- Answer all phone calls, responding to callers placed on hold within one minute.
- Monitor the waiting room and alert providers if clients are not seen within a reasonable time frame.
- Triage clients, obtain vitals, relevant information, and complete check-in screenings.
- Organize and deliver medication to appropriate properties/locations.
- Monitor medication as directed.
- Ensure client profile and records are updated by completing scanning and filing of necessary documents.
- High School diploma required;
Bachelor’s Degree in health and human services, business management, or comparable experience preferred. - 3 years’ experience in medical office setting with similar duties.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, transcription, and insurance.
- Experience with somatic and psychiatric service coordination.
- Ability to work independently and handle high‑stress situations.
- Intermediate or advanced working experience with Microsoft Business Applications (Excel, Teams, SharePoint) is desirable.
This position is a full‑time hourly position. Ideal candidate would be able to work the following schedule:
Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Ability to pass background check and drug screening required.
Compensation and Benefits- Pay Range $23.77/hour – $26.62/hour, paid bi‑weekly, with opportunities for overtime. Salary calculated based on education and experience.
- Other Compensation:
Employees are eligible for bonuses (variable, depending on company and individual performance) and paid training. - PTO:
New employees can accrue up to 96 hours of PTO in the first year (pro‑rated based on start date and hours worked). Employees can accrue up to 40 hours of sick leave per calendar year (pro‑rated based on start date and hours worked). - Holidays:
Full‑time employees receive 8 paid holidays per year, with overtime if required to work. Part‑time employees are eligible for overtime if required to work on holidays. - Retirement: 403(b) plan participation available loyer matching after 1,000 hours of service. Discretionary employer contributions given at least once a year.
- Health Benefits:
Full and part‑time employees are eligible for benefits beginning the first day of the month after hire. Benefits include Medical, Dental, and Vision (single and family), flex‑spending accounts (FSA and Dependent Care). - Company‑Paid Benefits:
Full‑time employees are eligible for Long‑Term Disability and Basic Life/AD&D. All employees are eligible for the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). - Other Voluntary Benefits:
Full‑time employees are eligible for Short‑Term Disability coverage.
