Transport Manager

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday (41.5 hours per week)

Location: Upton Upon Severn

Our Drivers do more than a driving job. You are the face of the business ensuring all goods are delivered in first‑class condition, completing all necessary paperwork and leaving with a good impression of you and our business.

• Full UK driving licence
• High levels of health and safety standards
• Numerate and literate
• Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers
• Ability to work under pressure
• Flexibility
• Diligent attention to detail
• Good knowledge of HGV drivers rules and regulations
• Experience of multi‑drop deliveries
• Current forklift certificate (B1 counterbalance)

• Ensure that the load is correct against customer’s orders
• Check goods off with customer and ensure a signature and print
• Handle customers’ issues on delivery and contact Transport Office if required
• Carry out multi‑drop deliveries in a timely and safe manner
• Drive the vehicle safely and in accordance with the law
• Look after the vehicle and ensure that it is not subjected to unnecessary damage
• Maintain the cleanliness of the cab
• Ensure accidents are kept to a minimum
• Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance to company's accident reporting procedures
• Complete vehicle daily inspection and report any defects to Manager
• Attend essential training to carry out the driving role
• To provide support in warehouse if required by the Transport Manager
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures

• Loading and unloading of product from the vehicle
• Opening and closing of vehicle curtains/doors, Moving product by hand around warehouse
