Our client, a well‑established CPA firm in Severna Park/Anne Arundel County, Maryland, is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant. The ideal candidate will have tax experience covering individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts. While a CPA or EA certification is preferred, we value dedication to being a long‑term integral part of our team. The role involves direct interaction with individuals and small to medium‑sized businesses.

- Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, including federal and multi‑state returns for partnerships, trusts, and corporations.
- Assisting in tax planning and research to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax laws.
- Preparing business income tax returns and creating client financial statements.
- Utilizing Quick Books for financial data management and Lacerte Tax for tax preparation.
- Providing guidance on the tax implications of business investments and transactions.
- Collaborating with team members to improve and streamline tax procedures and processes.
- Keeping up to date with the latest tax laws and regulations and ensuring the company’s compliance with all tax obligations.
- Providing excellent customer service to clients, addressing their tax‑related queries, and providing suitable solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- CPA or EA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, focusing on partnership tax, trust tax, and business income tax returns.
- Proficiency in Quick Books and Lacerte Tax.
- Excellent knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to clients and team members.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
