Austin Industrial, Inc. – We are currently seeking an experienced Rigger to be based in Pasadena, Texas. This position requires NCCCO Rigger 1 & 2 or Advanced Gold Card NCCER Certification, a Valid TWIC Card, and a Valid Driver’s License. This is a turnaround position working 4/10’s+ plus occasional OT – No Per Diem.

RiggerThis person will be able to assemble rigging to lift and move various equipment and materials to and from industrial work areas. The following are essential duties and responsibilities, with other duties assigned as needed.
- Select cables, ropes, pull‑ups, winches, blocks, and sheaves according to the weight and size of the load to be moved.
- Attach pull‑ups and blocks to fixed overhead structures, such as beams, ceilings, and gin‑pole boom with bolts and clamps.
- Assemble and disassemble cranes.
- Splice rope and wire cables to make or repair slings or tackle.
- Attach load with grappling devices, such as loops, wire rope, and chains to crane hook.
- Give direction to operators engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure the safety of workers and materials using hand signals and radios.
- Set up, brace, and rig hoisting equipment using hand tools and power wrenches.
- Be responsible for observing and monitoring others’ observance of all safety rules.
- Maintain current certifications to meet regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education – No minimum education requirements.
Experience – 4 years of Journeyman level experience.
