Sky Land Ranch Presents: The Very Merry Late Show – Festival of Lights 2025

Location: Sky Land Ranch, Sevierville, TN

Compensation: $90–$125 per night (based on role)

Schedule: Evenings, November 7, 2025 through January 3, 2026

Performances: 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM (two shows per event night)

New for 2025, the Very Merry Late Show is the centerpiece of Sky Land Ranch’s annual Festival of Lights. This fast-paced, family-friendly comedy talk show brings holiday cheer to life with live music, familiar Christmas movie characters, and plenty of mischief. Hosted by the overzealous and oversized Buddy the Elf, guests include The Grinch, Harry and Marv from Home Alone, Cousin Eddie from Christmas Vacation, and more, along with live music from our house band and speciality performance artists.

Performances take place on select evenings throughout November, December, and early January. The show invites audiences to unwrap a night of laughter, music, and merry mayhem under the lights of the Ranch.

We are currently seeking experienced comedic actors for the following featured roles:

• Buddy the Elf (Host) – $125 per night
• The Grinch (Guest) – $90 per night
• Harry (Guest) – $90 per night
• Marv (Guest) – $90 per night
• Cousin Eddie (Guest) – $90 per night

Actors will need to cross-train. Casting will prioritize those who can match the physicality and personality of their film counterparts.

Festival of Lights will run on these dates:

• November: 7–11, 14–15, 18, 21–29
• December: 2, 5–6, 9, 12–13, 16, 18–31
• January: 1–3

Actors must be available for all show nights or a pre-approved rotation schedule. Each show night includes two performances at 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM.

The Paid Core Actors must commit to attending every night of the event due to the interactive nature of the guest experience. Apply for a core role only if you can commit to the dates and times listed above.

All actors must:

• Be in costume and makeup, fully ready to perform at least 30 minutes before the first show.
• Stay after the final performance for meet-and-greet opportunities with guests.
• Take direction well and adapt quickly to script or blocking changes.
• Work collaboratively and maintain a professional, team-oriented attitude.
• Have reliable transportation and plan travel time for heavy holiday traffic.
• Live within a reasonable commuting distance of Sky Land Ranch.
