Job Title: Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

Location: Maryville, TN 37804

Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Orientation: 16 hours

A healthcare facility in Maryville is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join its night‑shift team. This role includes coverage of L&D procedures, triage, and newborn stabilization, with required floating to units aligned with the nurse’s skill set. Client name is intentionally omitted for confidentiality.

• Perform comprehensive L&D nursing care, including:
  • Triage assessments
  • Inductions
  • Cesarean sections
  • External versions
  • Non‑stress tests (NSTs)
  • Circumcision support
  • Newborn resuscitation and stabilization
  • Magnesium sulfate administration
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure optimal outcomes for mothers and newborns.
• Float to other units as needed and within scope of competency.
• Provide weekend coverage and take required call shifts.
• Document using EPIC EMR (minimum 1 year of EPIC experience required).

• Active Tennessee RN license – Required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience – Required
• No first‑time travelers
• 1 year of EPIC experience – Required
• Required certifications:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NRP
  • AWHONN Intermediate
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical care skills related to obstetrics.
