Smoky Mountain Children’s Home is a faith-based non-profit that has spent over 100 years dedicated to healing the lives of at-risk youth. We believe our quality of care is only as good as our people. We are looking for a compassionate, organized, and dedicated Foster Care Case Manager to serve as a cornerstone of support for youth in Mc Minn County .

- Advocacy:
Represent the best interests of youth at court hearings, school meetings, and child/family team meetings. - Mentorship:
Provide weekly direct casework services, building relationships with the youth on your caseload. - Planning:
Develop and implement treatment plans and conduct intake studies to ensure every child receives the right level of care. - Coordination:
Arrange monthly family visits, monitor educational progress and school attendance, and coordinate medical and therapeutic services. - Documentation:
Maintain precise, up-to-date case records and prepare monthly progress reports for families and referring agencies.
- Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology) or Education is required.* - Team Spirit:
Ability to collaborate with a dedicated team of advocates and accept professional supervision. - Integrity:
Must pass an extensive background check and drug screen. - Resilience:
Ability to handle the physical requirements of the role (standing, climbing stairs, lifting up to 40 lbs) and the emotional weight of child welfare. - Citizenship:
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (Sponsorship not available).
- Salary: $31,700 – $36,200 per year (commensurate with education level).
- Flexibility:
While some appointments (like court) are fixed, you have the autonomy to manage your daily calendar to best serve your youth.
