Alaska Vocational Technical Center (AVTEC), a division of the Department of Labor and Workforce Development, is recruiting for an AVTEC Instructor who will be responsible for planning, developing, and delivering instruction in the Industrial Electricity and Building Trades programs as an Industrial Electricity Instructor. Duties will include learning, maintaining and developing program curriculum; designing, building, and maintaining the practical industry-based labs and shop areas;

facilitating program advisory board meetings; and maintaining student training records.

The Alaska Vocational Technical Center (AVTEC) trains Alaskans for work in the trades. Four years of journey-level trade experience in the applicable field.

OR SUBSTITUTION:

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college in the applicable field; AND Two years of journey-level trade experience in the applicable field; AND Two years professional experience developing, coordinating, and presenting adult training or vocational education programs.

OR SUBSTITUTION:

An industry recognized professional certification in the applicable field; AND Two years of journey-level trade experience in the applicable field; AND Two years professional experience developing, coordinating, and presenting adult training or vocational education programs.
