Position: AVTEC Instructor: Diesel (PCN 05-8013)

What You Will Be Doing

As a Diesel Instructor in Seward, you will plan, develop, and deliver instruction in the Diesel and Applied Technology programs. Responsibilities include learning, maintaining, and developing program curriculum; designing, building, and maintaining industry‑based labs and shop areas; facilitating program advisory board meetings; and maintaining student training records.

Experience and Education Requirements

Four years of journey‑level trade experience in the applicable field, or

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in the applicable field, two years of journey‑level trade experience, and two years professional experience developing, coordinating, and presenting adult training or vocational education programs.
  • An industry‑recognized professional certification in the applicable field, two years of journey‑level trade experience, and two years professional experience developing, coordinating, and presenting adult training or vocational education programs.
