What You Will Be Doing

As a Diesel Instructor in Seward, you will plan, develop, and deliver instruction in the Diesel and Applied Technology programs. Responsibilities include learning, maintaining, and developing program curriculum; designing, building, and maintaining industry‑based labs and shop areas; facilitating program advisory board meetings; and maintaining student training records.

• Mechanical
  : knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, installation, uses, repair, and maintenance.

  : holds self and others accountable for measurable high‑quality, timely, and cost‑effective results.
• Written Communication
  : writes in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner.

Four years of journey‑level trade experience in the applicable field, or

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in the applicable field, two years of journey‑level trade experience, and two years professional experience developing, coordinating, and presenting adult training or vocational education programs.
• An industry‑recognized professional certification in the applicable field, two years of journey‑level trade experience, and two years professional experience developing, coordinating, and presenting adult training or vocational education programs.
