Travel LPN - LPN

American Traveler is hiring an LPN/LVN for a Long-Term Care unit requiring an active AK license (if applicable), BLS certification, and prior travel experience.

• AK license required if applicable, must be in hand at start
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• LTC experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• LTAC experience preferred
• Skilled in admission of patients, vital sign monitoring, medication administration (IM, SQ, oral, subcutaneous, ear/eye drops), NG/G tube care, foley catheter insertion, blood glucose monitoring, and wound/skin care
• Must obtain Alaska Food Worker Certification during onsite orientation

• Long-term care facility with 40 staffed beds
• LTC unit with a 1:20 patient ratio
• 4x12 shift schedule, either Days ) or Nights ), with no rotation between shifts except for urgent staffing needs
• Uses ECS charting system
• May float within scope to meet facility needs including to sister facilities nearby
• Responsibilities include patient assessments, ambulation assistance, bathing, mouth care, oxygen administration, and communication of status changes to RN/MD
• Free parking provided, with facility-arranged shuttle transportation to and from Anchorage at contract start and end
• Any scrub color accepted
• Must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
• No more than 2 weeks of RTO considered for a 26-week contract, and all RTO requests must be submitted upfront
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Local candidates not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period
• No on-call requirements for this position
