The Dean of the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences (CEHHS) serves as the chief academic and executive leader of the College and is accountable to the Provost for its mission, academic quality, people, programs, enrollment, resources, and long-term vitality.

The Dean provides strategic leadership that advances the mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Concordia University, Nebraska and ensures that the College distinctly embodies Concordia’s identity as a Christ-centered Lutheran university. The Dean establishes the strategic direction of the College; develops its faculty and academic leadership; ensures the quality, relevance, and sustainability of its academic portfolio; allocates resources; advances enrollment and student success;

strengthens external relationships - especially those connected to serving the schools and churches of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod; and represents the College within the University and to external constituencies.

This is a full-time position with full-time benefits package. Must be 19 years or older to apply. The preferred start date of this faculty position is July/August 2027 at the beginning of the 2027-28 Academic Year.

• Promote the mission, vision, values and Lutheran Christian identity of Concordia University, Nebraska through the activities and programs of the college and work with other administrators to assure the well-being and success of Concordia University, Nebraska.
• Articulate a compelling vision for the departments and graduate programs within the college and move the vision into priorities, goals, and outcomes.
• Promote a productive and positive work environment for staff and faculty.
• Prioritize the university strategic plan and facilitate departmental planning to support it.
• Provide oversight for undergraduate and graduate education programs meeting Nebraska State Program Approval and national accreditation through the Council of Accreditation for Educator Preparation.
• Provide leadership and accountability for the college’s graduate programs, including continuous improvement processes for curriculum, instruction, advising, assessment, program development, and program review of the graduate program in the college.
• Oversee undergraduate continuous improvement processes for curriculum, instruction, advising, assessment, program development and program review.
