Production Operator – Raw Department Day Shift

Join Scoular as a Production Operator in the Raw Department, working day shifts focused on the manufacturing and packaging of freeze‑drying protein ingredients for the pet food industry. This role requires safe and sanitary operation of production equipment, food safety and quality inspections, and adherence to environmental, health, and safety policies.

• Work safely, complying with all safety, quality, and sanitation policies and procedures; proactively identify and report potential safety hazards.
• Adhere to the production schedule set by the supply chain team and collect data on any delays.
• Carry out required quality checks and constantly monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
• Operate all equipment per SOP, conduct setup and breakdown, and notify maintenance of mechanical problems while providing basic troubleshooting support.
• Cross‑train to various positions within and possibly outside of the department.
• Move products manually or with assisted devices/equipment in accordance with food safety and sanitary standards.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, 5S practices, and maintain hygiene and housekeeping in the assigned work area.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work well both individually and within a group.
• Willingness to work all shifts/schedules as needed.

• Lift up to 60 pounds; climb stairs, kneel, stoop, sit, and walk extensively during a 10–12 hour shift.
• Work indoors in a cooled sanitary environment at temperatures 45°F or below.
• Daily exposure to loud production equipment.

Day Shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:30 am–5:00 pm

$20.00 per hour
