YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE...- Utilize production scheduling tools to direct and maintain daily operations within assigned area
- Execute routine operations of assigned area, ensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee and food safety and environmental compliance
- Monitor production outcomes, quantity and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are within specifications
- Oversee the quality standards within respective area; ensure quality standards are being followed and address deviations as necessary
- Perform audits for quality and safety; share results with others and identify opportunities for improvement
- Responsible for ensuring work instructions, process and procedures are being followed
- Develop, supervise and provide coaching to direct reports, including coaching company values and guiding principles for the facility
- Understand and manage the production budget for assigned area; collaborate with other Production Supervisors on the overall production budget
- Must know and understand what the production line standard rate is and be able to interpret and explain KPIs to management
- Must be able to know and understand yield performance and standards
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Experience working in food production or pet food production is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable communicating with all levels within the organization
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify challenges and potential solutions
- Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate and mentor large teams of hourly employees
- Ability to priority and work effectively in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks and projects
