This position involves hands-on technical work focused on advanced diagnostics and equipment repair. You will operate primarily within a shop environment, though you may be dispatched for field service tasks as needed. Reporting directly to the Shop Supervisor, you will be fully equipped with access to OEM diagnostic tools, comprehensive service manuals, parts databases, and modern laptop-based service systems for both shop and field operations.
YourResponsibilities
- Identify and resolve issues related to diesel engines, powertrains, electrical systems, hydraulics, HVAC, and electronic control units.
- Conduct thorough failure analysis, routine inspections, equipment setup, and seasonal maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize technical documentation, schematics, and specialized diagnostic software to troubleshoot complex equipment problems.
- Execute repairs that meet strict OEM standards, helping to ensure customer satisfaction through first-time resolution.
- Provide field service support at customer sites and assist fellow technicians with complex repairs to improve team efficiency.
- Maintain precise records of all labor, service reports, and warranty claims using digital service systems.
- Proactively suggest preventive maintenance measures to help minimize future equipment downtime and failures.
- Maintain clear, professional communication with customers regarding their equipment status and service requirements.
- Adhere to all established safety protocols to help maintain a secure working environment for the entire team.
- Support the growth of the department by assisting in the training of interns and newer staff members.
We are looking for individuals with 2+ years of experience in the repair of heavy construction, agricultural, or similar machinery, specifically those who possess strong diagnostic skills rather than just component replacement experience.
- Proficiency in hydraulic systems, including the ability to interpret complex schematics.
- Demonstrated experience in electrical and electronic troubleshooting with schematic reading capabilities.
- Competency in using computerized diagnostic tools for electronically controlled machinery.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for long durations.
- A valid driver’s license paired with a clean driving record.
- Flexibility to travel within the territory and work extended hours during busy periods.
You will have the chance to expand your technical proficiency in modern diesel, hydraulic, and precision-agriculture technologies through ongoing factory-level training. As you advance your technical and leadership skills, you may pursue career progression into roles such as Lead, Trainer, Specialist, or other management positions.
