A Highway Engineer position with the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) based in Seymour, Indiana. The role involves planning and managing highway and transportation projects, conducting engineering investigations, analyzing technical data, and ensuring compliance with design standards and regulations. The position may supervise staff and requires a Professional Engineer license in Indiana or active pursuit of licensure for candidates with EIT or FE certification.
Keyqualifications:
- Professional Engineer license in Indiana (or EIT/FE certification with active pursuit of PE licensure)
- Valid Driver's License
- At least 4 years of professional experience in civil engineering, transportation research, or closely related field
- Extensive knowledge of AASHTO Design Specifications, ASTM Standards, and Indiana Design Manual
- Ability to apply computer-aided design and drafting functions
- Knowledge of INDOT systems including SPMS, dTIMS, ArcGIS, and WMS
