IHC is seeking a credentialed RN or LPN with OB experience to join our Seymour team. The Clinic Nurse is at the heart of the IHC team, collaborating closely with providers to elevate patient care and education. Clinic Hours of OperationMonday – 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Tuesday – 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday – 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Thursday – 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Friday – 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

- Assess patients’ unmet health and social needs
- Assist providers with Chronic Disease management
- Order, inventory, and manage medication room supplies
- Prepare and maintain accurate client medical records
- Support providers by reinforcing patient education
- Maintain positive professional relationships with pharmaceutical vendors
- Follow HIPAA and OSHA standards
- Perform related work as required
- Conduct telephone triage for hospital follow‑up appointments and same‑day appointments
- Manage referral and medication refill request processes
- Obtain prior authorizations for medications
- Analytical problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
- Proficiency in basic mathematics
- Effective verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate with diverse individuals
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with other team members
- Conflict resolution and negotiation skills to achieve desired outcomes
- Comprehensive knowledge of current public health nursing theory and practice
- Skill in the use of standard medical examination instruments and equipment
- Ability to perform nursing‑related procedures of varying degrees of difficulty
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records
- Graduation from an accredited RN or LPN program
- Current credential as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Indiana
- Previous OB experience
- Proof of current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (AED included)
- Experience with electronic health records preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required
