GIS Tech II - Fort Shafter

Location:

Fort Shafter, working with the Corps of Engineers, USACE.

Estimated Start:
December 5, 2022.

A minimum of three (3) years working production experience/knowledge of ArcGIS and ESRI mapping products.

• Experience with Trimble Mapping Grade Global Navigation Satellite System to collect and process field data;
• Experience using the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, & Environment (SDSFIE);
• Experience authoring Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) compliant metadata;
• Familiarity with provisions, specifications, and estimates for surveying, photogrammetry, LiDAR, and/or GIS scopes of work;
• Familiarity with developing, modifying, and serving web maps;
• Familiarity with Oracle and relational database design;
• Experience with Micro Station CAD files and willingness to work in an interoperable CADD/GIS environment where both software and storage formats are put to use in dual platforms;
• Working knowledge of standard Microsoft applications.

Must have good communications and interpersonal skills, both oral and written, to interface with managers, engineers, scientists and other personnel.

Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office. Other geospatial software used in this office includes SDSFIE tools, ERDAS Imagine, Trimble GPS software, and Adobe Photoshop. GIS experience is the most important factor. Will consider education and potential to learn.
