Production Worker​/General Labor

Job Description –

The Shafter Shingle plant urgently needs 6 to 8 General Labor temps for approximately three weeks. The CW's will be opening bundles of shingles for a forklift operators to collect. CW's will not be operating forklifts.

I will open a req to our LI suppliers as a "go-to-work," skipping the interview process with HM. They will still need to pass drug screening and background checks. Any candidate submitted to this posting will be considered to be properly vetted and ready to start onboarding ASAP.

Shift time is 6am to 2:30 pm

Production Operator performs work that is required to manufacture shingle products, along with related safety, housekeeping, shut down, cleanup, startup, and maintenance work. Key Roles:
Work safely. Avoid at-risk behaviors at all times. Using standard procedures and technical training, operate equipment and machinery to manufacture product that meets specifications. Troubleshoot manufacturing problems. Rotate jobs in assigned or selected job area (Process or Packaging). Train other operators when required to increase overall performance of the team. When serving as a trainer and in association with the Team Leader, recommend trainee qualification to the Production Supervisor.

Perform machine maintenance tasks as assigned.
