Role Overview

Pipe yard workers must be able to handle the physical demands of a fast‑paced environment while achieving results and maintaining safe operations. Responsibilities include assisting in transfers of pipe products to storage locations and inspection facilities; ensuring accurate storage, retrieval, processing, and inventory of products; and adhering to the productivity program of the pipe yard.

Responsibilities
    >

    Receive pipes from delivery drivers and carefully place them within the yard in an appropriate and safe lay‑down area.
  • Assist Pipe Yard Operator by guiding tubular pipe for racking, staging, and delivery.
  • Report any overage, shortages, and damages from delivery to the appropriate agents or supervisors.
  • Use scanners and the warehouse management system to input data and update the system with the received inventory's status; maintain inventory accuracy through process development and management.
  • Perform daily maintenance of the pipe yard.
  • Keep control over the material(s) for different jobs (separate & stage).
  • Coordinate and monitor operations within the department to ensure production rates are consistent with the business plan, reducing irregularities and misdirects.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of self and coworkers.
  • Perform additional duties as required and assigned.
Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 1–2 years of experience in warehouse operations or material handling preferred.
  • Proficient in using yard equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Computer literate; proficient with MS Office 365.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal).
  • Thrives in a collaborative team environment.
  • Detail‑oriented work style comfortable with multiple priorities being juggled while maintaining a consistent work approach.
  • Physical requirements:

    sitting, standing, walking for full shift, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug test.
Salary

$18.00 to $20.00 per hour plus bonus.
