Are you a Maintenance Engineer / Shift Engineer looking for a role where you will be heavily invested in through structured training and long-term technical development? Do you want to join a stable manufacturing business that looks after its people, where you can broaden your skillet across maintenance, steam boilers and controls/PLCs?
On offer is a permanent position within a well-established food manufacturing site, where you will be supported through an initial 6-week buddy period on days before moving onto a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. You will receive a mix of internal and external training, with scope to develop your skillset on utilities/boilers and the controls side of maintenance.
This business has been established for decades and is known for its quality and high standards. As a result of continued success and growth, they are looking to add to their engineering team to support reactive and proactive maintenance and ongoing improvement projects.
In this role you will carry out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown support across site plant and production equipment, support operations with engineering decisions when senior cover is not on-site, assist with project work, and share knowledge to support apprentices within the team.
This role would suit a multi-skilled, electrically biased Maintenance Engineer looking for long-term development, increased responsibility on shift, and structured training to broaden technical capability.
The Role:- Reactive and planned maintenance across site plant and production equipment
- 4 on 4 off shift pattern (06:00-18:00 days and nights)
- Engineering support to operations and involvement in improvement/project work
- Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias, with some multi-skilled capability
- Manufacturing background (food/FMCG beneficial but not essential)
- Willing to learn and develop technically through internal/external training
