Job Overview
BV Dairy is a manufacture of specialist dairy produce, established 1958 in Shaftesbury Dorset. In 2024 we joined the First Milk group – a British farmer-owned dairy co‑operative. You can find our products in most supermarkets across the whole of the UK.

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative.
Shift Pattern4 on 4 off, 06:00 – 18:00
Salary£13.48 per hour – £29,440 per year
Responsibilities- To accurately pick customer orders controlling quality and quantity of products and pallets.
- To manage intake/picking of Fruit Prep.
- To control tension of wrapping and confirm within weight tolerances of picked pallets. Using judgement/experience to ensure pallet stability.
- Load lorries in a safe manner, ensuring pallets are stable and not damaged.
- Complete compliance paperwork and deal with issues that arise.
- To receive product from Coldstore, quality check and move to Chillstore locations using Epicor scanner.
- To move HGV vehicles around the yard before and after loading with health and safety considerations a priority at all times, employing a banksman to help with maneuvers as required.
- Deal with all stock issues e.g. shortages, quality issues etc. as soon as known.
- Unload returnable packaging from BV vehicles or remove from Chillstore using the shunters/HGV’s and store in designated area of yard.
- Load any crates or cages onto shunter and take to Packstore as required and remove rubbish from this area, again using the Shunter.
- Check all fridges are connected correctly on BV vehicles and are working after loading.
- Ideally experience in working in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to understand food safety practices and health and safety, for which you will be given in‑house training.
- Food industry experience would be a plus.
- We expect you to be a good team player, have positive attitude and ‘can do’ approach.
