Caravan Sales Person

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Caravan Sales Person role based in Shaftesbury. The Caravan Sales Person will welcome customers to the forecourt, listen to their requirements, and guide them through suitable new and pre-owned caravan options. Day-to-day responsibilities include presenting caravans to a high standard, explaining features and benefits, providing accurate product information, and supporting customers through the buying process from initial inquiry to handover.

The role involves preparing sales documentation, coordinating with the service team for pre-delivery checks, and ensuring a smooth, friendly, and professional customer experience. The Caravan Sales Person will maintain up-to-date knowledge of caravan models, manufacturers, and club partnerships, and may assist with aftersales queries and arrangements for deliveries to customers’ chosen sites.

• Customer service and client-facing skills, including active listening, clear communication, and a friendly, professional manner.
• Sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to match customer needs to suitable caravans and support confident purchasing decisions without pressure.
• Organisational and administrative skills, including accurate record-keeping, handling paperwork, and coordinating with service and delivery teams.
• Product knowledge and technical understanding relevant to touring caravans, or the willingness and ability to learn quickly.
• Basic IT skills for using dealership systems, email, and online product information.
• Ability to work on-site, including spending time outdoors on the forecourt and supporting occasional weekend or peak-season hours as required.
• Previous experience in caravan, leisure, automotive, or retail sales is beneficial but not essential for the right candidate.
• Full, valid driving licence and a safe driving record are advantageous for assisting with caravan movements and customer deliveries.
