TLP Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Transport Co-Ordinator to join a well-established logistics and distribution operation based in the South West on a 12-month temporary contract, with the opportunity to go permanent.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong planning and organisational skills to join a busy transport team and potentially secure a long-term position.

The Role
  • Planning and scheduling deliveries to meet customer demand
  • Managing vehicle routes to maximise efficiency and utilisation
  • Working closely with drivers, external hauliers and agencies
  • Handling re-deliveries and resolving service-related issues
  • Monitoring transport costs and maintaining accurate records
  • Managing returnable packaging and stock levels
  • Processing driver payroll information and ensuring documentation is prepared
  • Communicating daily with drivers and internal teams regarding delivery updates
  • Investigating and signing off transport-related issues or complaints
What do we need from you?
  • Previous experience in transport planning or logistics coordination
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Confident communicator, able to liaise with drivers, customers and internal teams
  • Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good IT skills (including spreadsheets and transport systems)
  • Understanding of driver hours, compliance and transport operations (preferred)
  • Positive, team-focused attitude
