ABOUT THE CLIENT

We're recruiting for an established organisation delivering specialist services across customer sites.

They're looking for experienced, safety-focused HGV Class 1 and Class 2 Drivers who take pride in doing things properly and are comfortable working within a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

THE HGV CLASS 1 & CLASS 2 DRIVER ROLE

You'll be responsible for collecting and delivering hazardous and non-hazardous waste across customer sites.

• Operate HGV Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles
• Operate road and vacuum tankers
• Support loaders while vehicles are stationary
• Manage routes against time-critical deadlines
• Carry out daily vehicle checks
• Report defects accurately
• Work within safety regulations and legal driving hours
• Provide a professional service to customers

HGV CLASS 1 & CLASS 2 DRIVER ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Minimum 12 months' HGV Class 1 and Class 2 driving experience
• Valid HGV licence
• Valid CPC card
• Digital Tachograph card
• ADR licence
• Road tanker and vacuum tanker experience
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Ability to work independently
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions
• Comfortable undertaking a physically demanding role
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance

Military drivers with the relevant civilian licences and tanker experience are strongly encouraged to apply, alongside experienced civilian HGV professionals.
