• Interact with project partners such as clients, contractors and stakeholders.
• Read and interpret project plans and specifications.
• Report to the project engineers and report on contractor activities.
• Follow applicable QA/QC procedures.
• Measure, calculate, and determine all quantities of assigned work and/or installed materials.
• Report any deficiencies in the contractor’s work to the Project Engineer or Project Manager.
• Prepare Daily Inspector’s Reports using software such as Word, AASHTOWare Project (AWP) and Appia.

• 1–7 years of experience in transportation construction, inspection, and engineering (entry‑level acceptable).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Tools, capable in math and writing skills.
• Computer skills including use of e‑mail, Excel and Word.

• ODOT prequalification in ODOT inspector/engineer categories (preferred).
• NICET Highway Technician I, II, III or IV (preferred).
• ACI Field Technician Level 1 (preferred).
• Ohio Aggregate Level 1 (preferred).
• OSHA 10‑hour or 30‑hour (preferred).
• Valid driver license.
